Dean Henderson Was rarely tested to perform during the opening 45 before called into action by Arbër Hoxha’s bent shot. His sliding tackle against an Albanian attacker showed his reading of the game. 6/10

Jarell Quansah Tested by the opposition's biggest threat through Hoxha. Operated through the middle early on later drifted to the flank once Saka was introduced. Seven

The tall defender A constant threat at set pieces, typically, perhaps is an alternative for Stones in defense instead of alongside him. One wayward distribution in the second half almost led to a goal from the visitors. 6/10

Nico O’Reilly A further assured display by the 20-year-old following his initial appearance against Serbia. Saka was unable to take full advantage of an exquisite touch behind their defense. The role looks secure at this stage. 7/10

Adam Wharton His first start in an England shirt. Somewhat loose when playing out but his inswinging corners caused problems. A useful pace-controller for the boss to utilize against defensive opponents. Booked after a reckless challenge. 6/10

The midfielder Crosses on corner kicks and set-plays were dangerous. Had license to move down the left flank yet found himself offside upon receiving in shooting positions. Given a merited break on the hour mark. 6

The star midfielder Operated in a high role on the right and also put in the hard yards. Showed flashes of quality and mishit an attempt wide. Substituted late on by Rogers, his rival, after receiving a caution. 7

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with England’s top opening in the opening period, his shot well saved by Thomas Strakosha. With Quansah staying deep, he had to provide width on the right although his balls into the box varied in quality. Taken off with 15 to go. Six

Harry Kane The match-winner scoring two more strikes for his country. His first a typical opportunist's goal while the second an excellent headed goal after peeling away away from the opposition. At 32, his form is unwavering and the side are strong contenders next summer with him up top. Eight

The attacker Struggled to influence play out wide. Had a presentable chance when set up from a teammate yet Strakosha kept it out. His replacement produced a bigger influence after coming on. Five
